Cons:

  • Functionality doesn’t justify the cost
  • Keyboard isn’t as easy to use as Bold 9900
  • No improvement in components
  • It’s really expensive, and despite the increased price isn’t really better than the Bold 9900
  • Software updates lag that of the Bold 9900 – they’ll come, but it’s still on OS 7.0
  • No autofocus on the camera
  • Removing microSD card can be slightly tricky

Bottomline: The Porsche Design P’9981 is little more than a luxury BlackBerry Bold 9900, and will appeal only to a select few.
